Surprise! Uploading it early!!
"Gary, you lying fuck! You said it wasn't a Ranger! That's very clearly...another White Ranger? You already did a White Ranger, you lazy fuck!"- My expectation for what at least ONE person will say or think. So I'm retroactively stopping it before it happens.

That's right. I did say that it wouldn't be a ranger. But guess what? He's technically not a Ranger. He's designed to be an Extra Hero. Like the Juuma from GoGoV. Or Ninjaman from Kakuranger.

Anyway, this is the final Movie Exclusive Related Image for Bitoku Sentai Naitoger. And, for all intents and purposes, the last image for Bitoku Sentai Naitoger for the time being. And what better way to end then with the first Naitoger Ever in terms of continuity.

This is...The First Naitoger. He doesn't have a specific name for himself, as the only ones to call him "The First Naitoger" are referring to him LONG after his time has passed. Those in his time period usually just referred to him as "The Hero of Light" or "The Radiant Knight."

Like the last image, this is basically describing the plot of a whole movie, so it'll be a bit long. Fittingly, this movie would be called "Bitoku Sentai Naitoger: History of the First Naitoger" and would revolve around Yumi, Dan and Simon explaining their heritage and the origins of the Naitogers to the rest of the Modern Team. The movie would periodically cut back to the present day where the core team (mostly Isamu) interrupting the story with questions. Though in the summery bellow, you'll only be seeing the story of the First Naitoger. If I broke it up with Isamu's interruptions, it would get WAY too long. So without further stalling for time, enjoy.

Backstory/Information:

Tens of Thousands of years ago, the long sense lost Naitoger Home-world was experiencing a golden age of peace and prosperity. They were blessed with bountiful harvests, short winters, and what seemed like never ending good fortune. This Golden Era was made possible by the Protection and Benevolence of the Six Gods of Light, who have existed since time immemorial. However, wherever there is light, a shadow is cast. The brighter the light, the darker the cast shadow becomes.

Delevos, an ancient enemy of the Gods of Light had returned from his imprisioned state with a plan of revenge. In secret, he traveled to each of the temples where a Light God resided, catching the deities off guard and used an enhanced version the same sealing power that the Gods had used on him long ago. The process destroying their physical bodies, and trapping their minds within large monolithic crystals within their respective temples. This act cutting off their ability to directly interact with the physical world, rendering them to mere observers.

With all Six Gods of Light rendered virtually powerless to do anything but watch, Delevos began his conquest of the world they created. The inhabitants tried to resist, quickly learning the ways of war in order to defend themselves. However, it was all in vein, as no mortal weapon could harm the false god. The people cried out in agony and hopelessness, begging for their Gods to save them. But there was none left to answer these prayers.

Years past. Delevos had conquered the world, destroying all who resist and enslaving all others. He had created a dark army to enforce his rule. However, all was not lost. As six individuals had not given up all hope. These heroic souls were Aldwin Ashdown, a self taught swordsman, and his younger brother Eric, who was also quite handy with a blade. Victor Fletcher, a master archer. Joan Godfrey, a priestess who once prayed at the temples before Delevos' conquest. Airiel Payne, a female knight with unparalleled spear skills. And Derrick Brooker, a traveler with an affinity with shields. The six all received prophetic dreams from the trapped Gods to come together so that they may travel to each of the six temples and destroy the crystals holding them hostage. This process would destroy their conscious minds but their Godly Powers would remain in the physical world. The six were instructed to house the Godly Powers in six medallions that Joan would be tasked with creating. Once all six powers, and only if all six powers, were assembled, the group was to use this might to defeat Delevos.

It took many years, but the six were able to travel from temple to temple and obtain the Power of the Gods. However, this journey was not without sacrifices. One by one, the six heroes fell to the Army of Delevos, until only Eric, now a full grown man after years of traveling the world, reached the final temple. There, the final God warned him that using all the God's power at once would most certifiably kill him. Eric stays determined however, he and his friends started this quest and he was going to see it through. And after freeing the final God's power, Eric traveled to Delevos' Stronghold.

Eric stood outside the capital city of Delevos' Empire and unleashed the Power of the Gods. This power manifested itself as briliant white armor and a shining sword of light. He began a one man assault on the Dark Army, cutting through each and every one until reaching Delevos. The battle was long and difficult, each combatant able to deliver blows strong enough to carve the landscape around them. Eventually, Eric was able to deal the killing blow, decimating the demon's body and scattering his power into countless shards to be lost to creation, never again to be reunited. With the battle won, Eric was placed into pssition as King and Guardian of the now free world by the surviving civilians. The nightmare had finally ended.

25 years later. As a result of using the God's power, his body began to age at an accelerated rate, giving him the appearance of a 70 year old man at the age of 47. Eric knew that the powers of light needed to be passed down before his demise so that the world may stay safe. After all, even with the power of the now deceased Gods of Light, he was still just a mortal man, and one who was very close to his end. However, as he was considering an heir to this power, a thought crossed his mind. He and his comrades had endured many trials and losses to acquire these powers. These hardships had fortified him into a righteous man, but how many others had this same mindset? What if his chosen successor, or a successor far in the future, were to use this power for evil? None would be able to stop them. It would be like Delevos all over again. This thought kept the old king in a stressful state before he came up with a solution. He dawned the Godly Armor once more and took the six medallions that held the Gods' power, using the sword used to slay Delevos to shatter the relics into countless pieces. But before the power of the Gods was lost forever, he used the magic remaining in him to transform each shard into a majestic beast. He dubbed these beings as the Bitoku Spirits, telling them to go forth and choose one individual that they themselves deemed worthy to bestow power upon. These chosen ones, who would later refer to themselves as the Naitogers, would become the Guardians of the World in his stead. With this last act completed, Eric Ashdown went to his chambers to finally rejoin his brother and comrades.

---

--TLDR Version: Tens of thousands of years ago, things were good until they were bad. A Demon sealed away the Six Gods of Light and took over the world. So Six heroes teamed up to free the Gods' powers to beat the demon. Five of them died, and the remaining one killed off the Demon and became king. But upon growing old, he got scared that his eventual successor would missus this incredible power. So he divided it into hundreds of pieces and used those pieces to create the Bitoku Spirits to choose Righteous individuals to become the new Guardians of their world. --

The image above depicts Eric in the form he took to defeat Delevos. So he's in his early 20s, no the old ancient looking man that is described at the end of the little story. His design was very, VERY heavily influenced by Garo. And I think it works really well for what I ended up doing. His cuffs, chest embelm and sword all have a rainbow color scheme in them. I figured that since he has all the powers that he should also have all the colors. It didn't come out quite the way I wanted, but I think it works out pretty OK.

Fun fact: the only reason this design exists is because during the process of making Naito Brown, I accidentally made a really badass helmet design. It was originally going to be a goofy knight helmet, but I guess I can only make badass designs. After that, it all kind of spiraled on from there. I started designing armor and a backstory for him. The first draft of this design was grey instead of white and had less armor, and was intended to be the Blacksmith who made the Naitoger's Super Mode in Ranger form. I think I was gonna call him "Forge King" or something like that. But then I got the idea to make him all white, and I got the whole "First Naitoger" idea, and I ran with it. It also gave me an excuse to retroactively give a meaning to the Naitoger Emblem. Six gold circles atop a silver ring, representing the Six Gods of Light that the power originally came from. Yeah, it's a bit of a stretch, but at least I found a way to explain it...it took awhile, but I did.

For those wondering how strong he is compared to the other Naitogers...he literally has the power of Six Gods. Other then the fight with Delevos, he just kind of ends fights. He would kind of end almost any fight instantly. Too bad this power was lost forever when he made the Bitoku Spirits. Would have been really useful during that Netherworld Invasion...yes, I'm being sarcastic.

Anyway, sorry for the overly long description. But I wanted to get as much info out on this guy as possible. With all that said,
Please do not use without permission.
Enjoy.

Well well well, this is certainly not what I expected when you said "not a Ranger".  I guess it must be the part of me that considers some (if not most) Extra Heroes as more Rangers.

This is extremely well done, Gary.  This feels like another one of those DA moments where it feels like the art is accompanying the story, rather than vice-versa.  The whole story is exceptional, in every way.

Not to say the art is much lesser, it's really cool.  Plus, y'know what?  It really reminds me of Kamen Rider Femme's design, so that's interesting.

Yeah, I may have gone a bit overboard with the backstory. But I thought it would be kind of interesting to give an origin story to the Spirits instead of just having them be there.
